We got married here on a Saturday in mid-May and had a great experience all round. From being able to access the venue at 9am the day before,having accommodation on site as an optional extra, and having Charlie available to help with odd works and show us how things ran, Grittenham really couldn’t be faulted. The weather and forecast were very undecided, but up until the Friday during set-up we still had the option to choose to have the ceremony outside if the forecast looked good. We chose to hire the marquee as well, which worked really well for the caterers to serve during the reception.

The lead up to the wedding was very straightforward, with Katherine helping us to organise via email, and helping us to view the venue a couple times for prep. The whole experience was very refreshing, with Grittenham Barn itself and the way it is run feeling very down-to-earth and non-corporate.

We got married at Grittenham Barn in April and can honestly say we had the best day and wouldn't have changed a thing. Katherine was very helpful in the lead up to the wedding answering all our questions as they came up. Then on the day Charlie was a star making sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes and liaising with our suppliers so we didn't have to worry about a thing.

Our wedding completely surpassed our expectations. The weather was gorgeous which of course helps and we last minute shifted our ceremony to outdoors. Whilst we were setting up the barn on Friday the team made sure everything outside was ready for us which was amazing.

From organising months (a year?) in advance, right up to the day after the wedding, Katherine and Charlie were absolutely fantastic! (Even with my request to bury a sausage!)
So super helpful, put us at ease when setting up and rehearsing before the day and just made the whole day absolutely perfect. Charlie is the helping hand you don't think about needing when planning, but my god am I glad he was there! He put me at ease when my anxiety was building before seeing anyone, allowing me and my dad a moment of pause before walking down the aisle, and making sure me and my new husband had a private moment to soak everything in after the ceremony. Every single moment of the day was perfect and whether he was behind the curtain or behind the bar, he was a friendly welcoming face that everyone needs on such a big day! Thank you guys so much for the best day of our lives ❤️
